Pets of the Month - October 2016 - Coco, Charlie and Cedar

Coco, Charlie & Cedar are sisters who turned two this past May. They are a mix of Chihuahua and Maltese known as Malchi. They are very affectionate and sweet dogs and will always be “puppies” because of their size. They all passed temperament testing and became card carrying P.E.T. P.A.L.S. (Pets in Education and Therapy; People and Animals in Life, Sharing) animals who now visit patients/residence in local nursing homes, rehab/hospitals, and/or other facilities, as well as UNI destress days. They also visit with me as volunteers with UnityPoint Hospice going to those who request a visit while in hospice. (Photos used with permission.)
