Pet of the Month - March 2016 - Copo

Meet Copo!  His name means “snowflake” in Spanish.  He is a Holland Lop rabbit and is around 8 months old.  Copo is a very social rabbit who loves to meet new people.  Sometimes, he goes to work with his mom and gets to meet lots of UNI students!  When he gets home, he loves to play in his room with his toy blocks and balls.  He also loves running up and down the hallways to show off his speed.  He loves to clean and organize things his own way… it seems clean to him.  He gets a little grumpy if his mom and dad try to re-organize his things and will ‘thump’ his foot.  He is not afraid when he has to go to the vet to get his nails trimmed, even when he hears dogs bark.  He is quite social with the vet and staff and is always happy to come home with freshly trimmed nails.  When he is very happy, he will ‘binky’ around which means he flips himself in the air and flicks his ears.  His favorite snacks are basil leaves, carrots, and rosemary.  Most of all, he really enjoys his ‘all-you-can-eat’ timothy hay.  He loves to watch tv and sit on the couch with his mom and dad.  His favorite movie is Star Wars.  Sometimes, his buddy, his Aunt’s cat, comes over to play.  They enjoy playing in Copo’s tunnels and running around with one-another.  Before heading to bed, he is a little sweetie and gives good night kisses and cuddles.
