It has been a wonderful 6 years since our resident kitty Chessie walked into our lives. At first she was a tiny kitten found on the railroad tracks in Evansdale. Now she has grown into a beautiful fancy feline. She was appropriately named after the Chessie System Railroad as she resembled the kitten on the company’s logo. She has been a great door greeter over the years saying hi to all the patients coming in. Some of her favorite visitors are small puppies that she can pounce around and play with. Her favorite spot is on top of the bookshelf looking down at us and secretly laughing at the staff members who are too short to reach her when it is time for bed. She has the staff well trained to turn on the faucet any time her little heart desires a fresh drink of water. Miss Chessie will often steal our chairs from us and we are now adapted to doing our computer work standing as she relaxes. Sometimes she will have to “earn her keep” by being an educational aid. She helps us show our Taylor Vet families how to administer medication, fluids, injections and demonstrating proper care and handling techniques. She is a valued member of our team and looks forward to seeing you at your next visit to Taylor Vet.
