Pets of the Month - October 2014 - Cooper and Lucky

Lindee Tenge and her husband Ron are truly cat lifesavers. They have 6 kitties in total with two very special ones living in the garage. This is not just any garage it is a true man-cave. When Ron needs a friend to locate a tool or to pester him at lunchtime he can count on these kids to help him out.

Miss Lucky was found at the age of approximately 3-4 weeks in July of 2010. Ron and Lindee were outside of Culver’s restaurant when they noticed someone small and fuzzy dropping from a vehicle. She was quite the trooper. She had a few burns to her ears from being in the engine but was in good health. She was found to have cataracts but that didn’t slow her down. Lindee looked for a home for this sassy little girl but arrangements always seemed to fall through. She became a permanent member of the family and was the first to call the shop her home.

Cooper came along in September in 2011. His family was in a garden shed and his siblings had all passed away. He was in rough shape and Lindee was very concerned that this little guy wasn’t going to make it. He was small even for 3-4 week old and required a lot of TLC. This included a trip to the vet. He had fleas, worms and  weighed a whopping 1.2 lbs. Dr Taylor started him off on his path to good health.

Miss Lucky took to Cooper right away. He followed her around and learned the ropes of being a shop cat. They became fast friends. They get along great and are wonderful companions. It’s hard to tell who is happier, the cats or their owners.
