Pet of the Month - May 2014 - Oliver and Sophia

This is Oliver and Sophia.  I adopted Sophia from Waverly Pet Rescue July 27,2011.  She was just a kitten.  Sophia and her siblings were found in a ditch inside a culvert.  They were taken to Waverly Pet Rescue, then put up for adoption at Petco.  This is where I saw her and knew she was the one for me.  Sophia has always been shy and loves to play with her toy mice.  Here we are 2 ½ years later and nothing has changed.  I would not trade her for anything.   I adopted my other cat Oliver in 2012 from Cedar Bend Humane Society.  He was in isolation for several months and not getting any better. He had a terrible upper respiratory infection. My good friend Lacey,  a veterinary technician knew I was not going to give up on him and neither was she. Lacey did everything she could for him. He was slowly nursed back to health with lots of love and prayers. One day in February he was not in isolation, so I went looking for him. I found him in the adoption building.  It did not take me long to know I was taking him home. Today Oliver is healthy, very playful, and not shy at all.  I love the both of them and I am so happy they found me.
