Pets of the Month - February 2014 - Ringo and Rosie

Ringo and Rosie are our Jack Russell terriers.  Ringo came into our home in November 2009, after our youngest left the nest for college.  We were missing the pitter patter of little feet.  My family volunteered to walk dogs at the Cedar Bend Humane Society.  On our second trip, Ringo picked us.   Two years later, Rosie came into CBHS just before Christmas and was not adjusting well to shelter life.  Knowing our love for Jack Russell terriers, the directors asked if we would foster her over the holidays.  From the minute she arrived at our home, she and Ringo became inseparable.  He thought she was the best Christmas gift ever!!    We adopted her and our family was complete.  Ringo and Rosie are trail enthusiasts.  They live for walks and runs whenever the weather allows.  In the winter, Ringo is by my side when I am on our treadmill-no matter the speed or the duration.  Rosie’s working on it!  The treadmill is in our basement, so I have to sneak downstairs to do laundry, or he jumps on the treadmill and begs for me to join him.  He is the definition of an exercise accountability partner!   Drs Taylor and Smith and the entire staff have been great to our furry kids.  A special thanks to Lacey, who worked at CBHS and nurtured Rosie while she was there, and now at Taylor Vet Hospital.  It’s like a reunion when they see each other!
